Please join us on Friday, September 11 for a live blog event. Topic: Does absolute, objective Truth exist, or is it all relative and subjective? What do we mean by "Truth," anyway?
Absolute, objective truth does exist but it is based on relative & subjective ideas as well as abolute facts that we all have been lead to believe are right thus making then "absolute/objective". It can be both, we just have to look back on what we're basing truth on. It also depends on where you're looking at it from since what this "tonik" named individual said, "Truth is what we think we know is fact. So if we think we know it so that makes it relative and subjestive", I agree with. People will believe what they want to with a bias playing into why they believe something, thus making what they know as truth subjective (e.g. how each individual thinks the human race started, was it evolution or some source of higher power and so on, someone with a strong background of religious influence will most likely believe the latter, not that they're wrong or right but there is a bias put in there)
Truth in this world is a point of view/oppinion/idea that is shared by most people one here. But that does not mean that and all ideas/point of views/oppinions are true. (Don't even go there Mayville I know you were about to) It's like a Square being a rectangle but a rectangle not being a square.
Well in the paraphrased famous words of Indiana Jones are we looking for truth or fact?
